RPSC Recruitment 2024 Apply Online Before Last date: The official notification for the recruitment of 56 Geologists & Assistant Mining Engineers has been released by the Rajasthan Public Service Commission to be appointed at permanent positions in the Department of Mines & Geology, Rajasthan. RPSC Recruitment Vacancy Distribution 2024
Rajasthan Public Service Commission has released a total of 56 posts for both Geologists & Assistant Mining Engineers. As per the notification, out of these 56, 32 positions are available for the post of geologists while 24 positions are available for the post of Assistant Mining Engineers.
Vacancy Distribution is also done based on the reserved categories, the details of which candidates can get from the official notification available on the Rajasthan Public Service Commission Official website.
RPSC Recruitment Eligibility Criteria 2024
To apply for the post of Geologist or Assistant Mining Engineer, candidates must fit into the eligibility criteria laid down by RPSC. The eligibility of candidates is measured based on their educational qualifications and age limit.
Educational Qualification
Interested candidates have to necessarily fulfill this education qualification to be able to apply for the posts of either a Geologist or Assistant Mining Engineers at RPSC.
For the position of Geologist, candidates must have a Diploma or Post Graduation in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognised institution.
For the position of Assistant Mining Engineer candidates must withhold a Diploma or B.Tech or A.M.I.E in Mining Engineering from a recognised institution.
Interested candidates have to necessarily fulfill this age criteria to be able to apply for the posts of either a Geologist or Assistant Mining Engineers at RPSC. The minimum age to apply for the posts is 20 years while candidates as old as 40 years are also eligible to apply.
Some age relaxation may also the available for certain reserved categories based on RPSC’s will.
The application window to apply for the post of Geologist & Assistant Mining Engineer will open on 22nd July 2024. Candidates can then visit the official website of RPSC at www.rpsc.rajasthan.gov.in to fill the online application form. Candidates will have ample time to fill the form since the application window will remain open till 20th August 2024. However, candidates are suggested to fill the form as soon as the application window open to get the examination center of their choice.
The procedure to fill the application form is :
Once in the RPSC website, click on the apply link available on the homepage itself.
Register yourself on the website.
Log in using the credentials sent to your email ID after One Time Registration.
Fill the application form as instructed.
Scan & upload the copy of the required documents.
Preview & check for any errors.
Go ahead with the fee payment.
Make an online fee payment via any online banking mode.
Finally submit your application form & download or take a printout of the application form for future reference.
A confirmation email will be sent to your registered email ID as well.
All candidates applying for the position of Geologist and Assistant Mining Engineer have to pay an application fee to fill the form.
For UR/BC/EBC(creamy layer) categories the fee for filing the application form is ₹600.
For SC/ST/PWD/BC/EBC/EWS (Non Creamy Layer)/PH candidates the fee for applying is ₹400 only.
Candidates must note that the application fee can only be filed using any online banking option such as debit card, credit card, internet banking, E-Challan, or UPI.
RPSC Recruitment Selection Procedure 2024
The selection process of RPSC Geologist & Assistant Mining Engineer consists of 3 stages:
Written Exam
Geologist Exam –The written exam for the position of Geologist consists of two parts. Part A is a test of candidate’s General Knowledge of Rajasthan State which consists of 40 questions carrying 1 mark each. Part B of the written exam is a test of the candidate’s knowledge of the subject they’re applying on the basis of. This section comprises 110 questions carrying 1 mark each. The total duration of the exam is 2.5hours.
Assistant Mining Engineer – The written examination for the post of Mining Engineer tests a candidate in Mining Engineering. The total duration of the paper is 2.5hours and consists of 150 questions.
Document Verification
In this stage the original documents of a candidate are checked for any false information. If it found that the information provided by the candidate is false, their candidature is canceled at this stage
Medical Test
The medical test is the final test that checks a candidate’s medical suitability for the post.
